1954

Some would say it was a good year.  :))
A good friend gave the book recently.
Very light, one person's view of the year including excerpts of letters to various newspapers at the time.

The Queen visited Australia (Jan. 1954) and one letter to a newspaper mentioned if the Queen were to travel to Newcastle from Sydney and if it were necessary for a bathroom stop, there are only a few garages along the way.  :))
April was a busy month with H-Bombs controversy, and the Petrovs.
