Slow Down

Yesterday on my morning walk, I looked over at this sign, and found it different than this. We put this up over a year ago, in an effort to keep the traffic on our country road to slow down. Most drive appropriately, but so many drive like bats out of hell. This time I found the sign had been lifted out of its home, and the metal sign was bent in two. The boot prints of the culprit were in the snow. I bent the sign back straight, and put the frame of the sign back in place.

I don’t understand the hate and anger. A sign that asks you to “Please Slow Down,” results in the necessity to get out of your “rig,” and register this? The anger? I don’t understand the anger in today’s world.
