Rugby Teams

Yesterday’s blue sky didn’t last long. It was back to being grim today, really dreich. We even woke up to a skiffing of snow. I was very slow to get going, but eventually took myself out for a wee walk, not far, just enough to suss out the weather. I came home and then got myself out for a run. The running conditions were ok really, cool but  not too cold, and not windy, it was rather damp due to the mist, so there were no views to be had.

I got back home just as TT was giving BB a lift down to rugby. I had a quick turnaround, grabbed some lunch and then we headed down to the rugby. TT didn’t want to be late, as the team were playing a quarter final match in the National Shield.

There was a big crowd, and the opposition brought quite a crowd with them. It was a very hard fought game, but BB’s team won by one point, which puts them through to the semi final. It’s all very exciting for him in his first season in senior rugby. TT and I celebrated with a visit to Tesco!!

Once home TT poured a celebratory drink and started to prep tea. I headed out for a walk-in the gloom to stretch my legs off. An excited BB had returned home, and was changed and ready to head out to an 18th when I got back.

TT and I enjoyed a lovely meal, then chilled out and watched some TV. BB was home much earlier than I expected. Apparently he was too tired after rugby!

The two teams lined up before the start of the game in honour of a club stalwart who died last week.
