Log cabin quilt block

I managed to sew my first quilt block at home. That makes two finished - the first was done at the workshop - and fourteen to go. I will need to speed up a bit - although I think eight would be OK - before the next workshop on 1st March. 

There's an extra of Alfie helping to check the piles of strips. 

In the evening I went into town to meet up again with my nursing buddies F and A and we did more reminiscing over a bar supper at the Old Waverley Hotel on Princes Street with great views of the Bank of Scotland and St Giles.
