Chucho's (Christian Benitez) farewell

Quito said its last goodbyes to Chucho in the General Ruminahui Coliseum near to where we are living. Thousands of people queued to file past his coffin to say their farewells and also spot any other famous footballers!
The television covered the whole event all day, it was similar to when Princess Diana died in the UK. He was not only a footballer but a huge personality who had grown up in poverty and had proceeded to give a lot of money to the poor when he became famous, so his death will bring a deal of hardship to many people, hence the grief.
