River of Flowers

Sunday: Waiting for Wild Garlic Flowers

Slept until 7 this morning, there was very fine misty rain which carried on for most of the day and a very chilly 5°C.

Sorted out some more books and MrD carried them across the road for me - destined for a group of readers where I worked at the end of last century!

MrD chopped some logs in our garage and I took advantage of just light rain to cut back the old leaves on a Hart’s Tongue Fern which is growing next to my James Grieve apple tree and where the Wild Garlic is just starting to show through. Last year https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3227384022405484041 - hoping for lots of sunshine and bees when the flowers finally appear :-)

Decided to move all my pots of shallots/spring onions out of the greenhouse in the hope of persuading them to grow and so that they get a good watering in the gentle rain.

Started watching “Partners in Crime” on iPlayer … https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p02vf6z5

MrD was watching “The Devil’s Own” - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Devil's_Own - which is far too loud and violent for me :-((
