Code breakers

As it was quite a nice day, we went to Cardiff Bay for a walk along the waterfront. The main is the statues celebrating the rugby “code breakers” recognising those Welsh players who left amateur rugby union to seek money for their prodigious talents in rugby league. At the time they were seen as traitors, but since union turned professional they are seen more kindly and there is recognition of their undoubted success.
The first extra is a view across the waterfront to the Victorian built ornate Custom House with the Welsh Senedd (Assembly) building to the right and the Millenium Centre (opera house) in between. The second extra is the picturesque Norwegian Church.
