Paper Roses

Must be the passage of the years; I was watching an old episode of Endeavour (Morse as a young man) and the main character was talking about his life at its lowest ebb as "a grey, desolate place - and then I heard your voice and knew there was beauty in this world." My paraphrasing but I think it captures the gist of it.
The 'flowers' by the way are paper, my daughter's wedding bouquet from 2023, and still looking as good as on the day. They are now a table decoration.
