Duck proofing the pond

It is cold this morning but an essential task was to keep the ducks off the pond. If you look closely you can just see the fishing line stretched out across the pond. This was very effective last year as it discouraged the ducks from landing in the water.

Why you may ask. We expect there will be frogspawn soon and the ducks will consume it so we like to discourage them.
