A damp, mizzly and sleety day, although thankfully the forecast ‘freezing rain’ didn’t develop.

After a quiet morning, I walked across the valley to Thackley, where Pickering Town were visiting for an NCEL Premier Division fixture. 

Thackley have been in the play-off spots for most of the season, but after finishing 2024 with five successive wins, they have only picked up two points from four games in 2025. This game didn’t bring any improvement in results, with a goal in each half giving the North Yorkshire team a 0-2 win.
