Some red on a grey day

It was rainy and cold here all day. I had a second go at posting my parcel, this time down the hill to a quieter Post Office in the back of Tesco. No queue today. I was listening recently to the late Michael Mosley about walking at a decent speed as an easily achieved bit of exercise.  His guest on that edition of “Just one thing” suggested walking to the Blackeye Peas “I’ve got a feeling”.  My goodness it’s so fast! I was powering past everyone, and I didn’t stop on the hill. Except once to take these drippy berries.  I’ve really got to push myself to get a bit fitter.
Otherwise I didn’t do much of note today - a bit of cooking, finding some new recipes, started a new jigsaw, writing to friends. And I listened to football on the radio. Unusually, both my teams were playing at the same time, and both on platforms you can’t rewind, so I had to choose. I enthusiastically support Bristol City, I love and care about the club, but if you cut me open you’d find Arsenal in my heart. Because I’m a Londoner I guess. My son is the other way round - he loves Arsenal, and I took him quite a few times to Highbury, and later the Emirates when he was a child. But Bristol City is his deep love, which is as it should be, he is from South Bristol. I realise the above sentences will be complete drivel to some blippers, and that’s understandable. So I listened to Arsenal, he watched City and we updated each other on WhatsApp. It’s a nice thing to have in common.
