.......slow train coming.......

So bloody slow it never turned up!

The Boss and I went to one of the small stations on the East Lancs Railway to get a shot of Thomas the Tank Engine.....well that's why I went....the Boss wanted to go to the garden centre in the village.

A train came....but it was just an old diesel engine.....it was packed with families.....Thomas never showed his face...so we wnet to buy some plants. While we were doing this we heard a steam train arrive at the station....we didn't get back in time for a photograph....but it wasn't Thomas anyway!

Turns out that Thomas doesn't do any of the runs on the Thomas the Tank Engine day!.......Imagine how pissed off you'd be if you'd forked out £16 per adult and £8 per child only to discover that your trip along the line and back was just with the normal ELR rolling stock! Apparently TtTE was at the main station but he's too expensive to insure so he just sits there looking smug the whole day.....at least the Santa Special has a real Santa on board...and you get a present!

D & V came round tonight...we had supper and played some dominoes...and had several drinks......this rock star life will be the death of me!
