The Grove
Himself up early and off to get his ring, especially altered for him. It's a beauty and a mixture of red and white gold and silver., melded in a Japanese technique. Here's what he haas to say about it:
Mo-ku-me Ga-ne is a Japanese technique that fuses layers of different metals to create a patterned laminate..My new ring is beautiful waves of silver, rose gold and yellow gold made by a local craftsman who studied in Japan
He was inspired enough to compose a haiku:
Mokume Gane Haiku
Sea took my loved ring
Waves of gold silver and gold
Forged a new treasure
............................
We then headed for the Grove, an amazing piece of dense bush with colossal trees, prehistoric rocks looking like elephants and dense palms
Lunch with Joe then we went swimming at Patons Rock where the original ring was lost, and introduced the new one.
Esme back at 4pm - much storytime, picking tomatoes, eating plums and playing hide and seek. She is a terrible cheat. We left them about to leap into a bath enhanced with a strawberry marshmallow bath bomb!.
