Winterfest

The first annual Winterfest in Laramie. There was a huge tent with artwork throughout the day. Outside there was some ice sculpture going on. I didn't get downtown until about 5:30 to see the music. It was cold at first. You could see your breath in the tent but then the heaters started working and lots of people arrived. This was live broadcasted by our Wyoming Public Radio team.
There were about 6 singer/songwriters that came on and did 2 songs a piece. Then The Deslondes from New Orleans finished the show. All these folks are traveling down to New Mexico next week to powwow and create new songs. I would love to see what they come up with. This was all brought to us by Western AF, the youtube folks that are based here in Laramie that go out and find incredible Western and Americana artists.
The music was great and it was such a good turn out. There is more art going on tomorrow and I'm going to see what I can create.
