Murky!
Saturday
It was a dismal murky day today, raining all day, very light in the morning, but increasing as the day went on. As I write this at 11pm, it is set to continue for at least another couple of hours, and it is now accompanied by thunder and lightening! This morning we were at church for choir practice - this is our latest practice time for the month of February - I don’t know what’s happening after that. I don’t mind so much at this time of year when the weather often isn’t conducive to getting outside, but I hope our director doesn’t plan to keep it at that time longterm. Anyway, we had a decent turn out, and a good practice. In the afternoon we both went to the gym and I did some treadmill and elliptical. My blip was taken on the drive back, trying to capture the dismal weather! It might look as if it’s dusk, but it was only the middle of the afternoon! When we got back I did a bit of piano playing and some knitting, then it was time to fix an early dinner before going downtown to a Symphony Concert. It was a wretched evening to be going out, but the concert was wonderful, starting with a modern piece by a contemporary female composer from Ukraine, followed by Dvorak violin concerto performed by Gil Shaham, and finally the wonderful Brahms Symphony No 4.
