Waiting for CAD

A trip planned before Christmas: Beverley with the bestest friend to see Carol Ann Duffy in this church at lunchtime and then John McCusker, Michael McGoldrick and John Doyle this evening with shopping and tea in between. The forecast was not good but it stayed dry until after tea and on the way home. Carol Ann Duffy's poetry was beautiful with some stand out phrases and some favourite poems and new preferences. There were some oddities along the way but we enjoyed the experience and the setting. Shopping was successful and then tea in a busy Pizza Express before we headed to the theatre. Excellent musicianship followed the support act who we were not fans of but we thoroughly enjoyed the main event. A very good way to start half term.
