Pond works
The pond has been leaking for about a year now, so it needs to get a new liner. Today was OK for starting the work - the temperature was 5 C, so no frost to contend with. The first step was to syphon out most of the water, which took several hours. Then the surrounding grass had to be removed to allow the new liner to be installed. There are several frogs living in the pond. One small one was tucked into a fold in the old liner - there's a photo as an extra, but you have to look for a bit to recognise the legs and the squashed head. There's still a lot of work to do removing the last of the water along with lots of mud and dead leaves, but I hope to make more progress tomorrow.
