Goodbye

Dropped into the allotments despite the rain to meet Paul the site manager. We were handing him the keys and bidding goodbye to our well loved plot.
Yesterday after I had blipped we had a call from the estate agent responsible for selling to us with the unexpected news that the vendors have had their offer on an empty property accepted. Chain complete. All steam ahead. Too far away to keep the allotment on.
And later we met friends for lunch at the YSP and after that we planned a few days away in London in the spring and a trip further afield in the autumn.
The future is calling.
