Erja Lyytinen at TTT-Klubi

Erja Lyytinen's late night gig at TTT-Klubi with keyboardist Harri Taittonen, without the regular band. In addition to her own material, they played a few covers including some old blues, Deep Purple and a very beautiful version of Elvis Presley's "Don't Be Cruel". The concert ended in Juice Leskinen's "Kaksoiselämää". It was different from her normal band gigs in an interesting way, and I liked it a lot.

After the gig I bought her latest live recording and got Harri's signature while waiting for my turn to get Erja to sign it and talk with her. I told her that I had listened to Heikki Silvennoinen's biography as an audiobook and finished just a day before he passed away and how that had made it feel very personal to me. Not surprisingly she told she misses him and was sad not to have the chance to tour with him once more.
