Let’s Rock - Concert in the Park

A dodgy start to the show when lightning warnings threatened to delay or stop the whole thing. The extra shows how angry the sky was. For those of you who have experienced a highveld thunderstorm, it is not something to take lightly.

We got a little damp at times, but it was warm so we soon dried out.

Some local bands were on first, a mixed bag, but nothing awful. There was a sighting of a MAGA supporter who seemed to be proud of his baseball cap. I wonder how he will feel after Trump’s policies start to bite.

This was Midge Ure, who did a great set. We bailed before the final act of Tom Bailey of the Thompson twins.

It’s been a fun afternoon.
