Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Quite a stressful morning, as I was trying to pay the first monthly instalment of the Jet2 holiday, and it was REFUSED!

PANIC STATIONS!!

I had to get to the bank in town to sort it out before they closed at 12.30. There was a bus to their door in 6 minutes, so I ran around grabbing things and rushed out the door, only to realise that I hadn’t brought my bank cards! DUH…

So I got the next bus and got there on time. I love it when you’re sitting in the comfy seats waiting, and they lock the door and people can’t get in and look puzzled. Anyway, the wonderful young woman whom we’d had before sorted it with a few clicks. I was awe of her skills, but she laughed and said she does it all day, every day, so it’s almost automatic.

Abi had texted this morning asking if Pip could come and stay, so just as well JR was back from the gym. Archie went out with Elizabeth, and I was back in time for JR to head into town with Hazel for a shop event. It was all go!

So the only photo I took today was this display in the kitchen. Yes, the Christmas star lights are still up, and may be up there forever.
