Messerschmidt

First saw these incredible 'character heads' in Vienna and so I was very excited to see a couple of them in a small palace in Bratislava. It's amazing to think they are about 250 years old. 
Messerschmidt used himself as the model - apparently he pinched his right rib area to produce the facial expressions.
