A Valentine rose

This morning Mr MC and I exchanged Valentine's cards and I received a beautiful bunch of red roses from Mr MC.  There Valentine's Day celebrations stopped as the local restaurants  all charge a great deal for a set 3 course menu and allow you only 2 hours to  wolf it down!  We'll go out on another evening when normal service has been resumed!
We woke to clear blue skies this morning, a novelty atm to be sure but I declined Mr MC's suggestion that we take a walk in Epping Forest because my poor thumb was troubling me so much.  Both joints are painful, the base joint is swollen and the other joint clicks when I try to move it, trigger finger style.  I did manage to take a photo of the red roses though and place one rose in a heart shape, courtesy of PS Elements, all while guarding my poorly thumb.  I'm quite pleased to have finally learned to do something else with a photo and so I share one of the results with you!
