Last paddle

One write up to cover most of the week, it's all been pretty samey. Up for a swim in the pool or sea, lots of reading on the beach. After a few days the fine waiter was bringing us our iced coffee with brandy without asking. In fact on the last morning he obvs decided to save himself a job and he brought us two each. It would get chilly about 3:30 so then time for a game or two on Hannah's balcony before drinks and dinner. A wonderful restful and restorative week. Best book was In Memoriam by Alice Winn, made me cry. A nice gang with Clare, my mum and Hannah, a really lovely week.
