Left for work early so I could make a pitstop in Ahh Toots for some goodies for Maddy’s birthday. I asked for a slice of each of their gluten free things, what a delicious selection. The lady thanked me for having the first slice of the huge beautiful Black Forest cake - she said nobody ever wants to be the first one to ask for a slice so it always sells much quicker if it’s already cut.

Maddy and Bill had birthday plans so Matt had spent the day with Beano, I headed up (cake laden) after work to join them on their evening walk. They got home about 8 and hadn’t had dessert with dinner so were very appreciative of surprise cake!
