Bee

Couldn't decide between this bee and a small tortoiseshell butterfly.

Lovely sunny day so went to Balgray Reservoir. Walked round the reservoir (which included climbing over a gate) and down to the other dams. Not many birds around but did see mallards, tufted ducks, coots, a heron and great crested grebes. The adult great crested grebe was diving for fish while the stripy headed youngster had only its head under the water as if it was watching the adult and waiting for it to come to the surface, then it was ready to receive a fish.
