Bliss!

If we ever doubted it, tonight’s return for the first time in five years (almost to the day) confirmed Cadaqués as the most beautiful and special place in Spain, for us, and a place where we feel rooted in an almost visceral way.

To see it so tranquil on this February out-of-season night also confirms its immutability against the summer influx of visitors from the rest of Spain, France and Italy.

In short, Cadaqués in February is as it was 34 years ago when we first came, in the same month, with my mum!

Covid, other required travels, health issues and inflated summer prices conspired to keep us away for these years.

We are determined to come more often from now on and be so deeply nourished by the simple act of being here.
