Bulrushes
After last night's very late night (it was after three thirty when I finally switched the light off) it was a struggle getting up this morning but I had to prise myself out of bed to take Bailey out.
The strong warm breeze blew the cobwebs away though and after a refreshing shower when I got back I was fit to face the day (pity it was already nearly midday)
Was meeting Shev and Dunc at The Bush to do some scenery painting for the current drama production on in a couple of weeks. As it turned out there wasn't that much we could do so we went for a lovely long walk with the dogs around the Bush Estate. Bogs and rivers for the pooches (well mine mainly) and raspberry picking along the paths for us hoomans.
We came accross this pond (which I was warned about so Bailey was on his lead by this point). It's been years since i've seen bulrushes. I think probably when I was a child.
They saw a dragonfly flitting about but I didn't spot it which is a shame as I would loved to have blipped one.
A supermarket shop plus another 2 loads of washing followed this afternoon then OH returned from his golfing weekend looking hungover and weatherbeaten/sunburnt.
He had something to eat and has been snoring on the sofa all evening. Welcome back eh. Must have been a messy weekend :)
