Homeward bound

After a delicious fry up for breakfast (Many thanks Claire!) we set off on the long journey back to Härnösand.
This is our first long trip in our electric car, and today was the first journey where we have to charge the car en-route. So when we got to Umeå we chose an OKQ8 fast charger and plugged in. The info says it's "super fast" but in fact it takes about 75 minutes to take us up to 98% charge, which is enough to get us home with a good bit to spare. However, the wait was not a problem as we'd been driving a couple of hours and needed to stretch our legs. Jan and Rose headed to the big charity shop over the road and I wrote a couple of letters sitting in the cafe section of the fuel station. Another 2 hours of driving and we stopped again for a hamburger. We were surrounded by high speed chargers but we didn't bother  because we knew we could get home and charge up a lot more cheaply.
The end result is that we are still very happy with our choice to go electric!
Once home we headed out again for Film Studio. We were very tired and it was touch and go whether we went off to the film or not. However. we were very happy we went to see the Norwegian documentary "A new kind of Wilderness".
There was so much beauty in the film. The children, Nik the dad, and the beauty of the Norwegian countryside. There was also a lot of sadness because it is largely about the aftermath of the death of the mother and wife. Unlike last week's film this is definitely one I would recommend.
The extra shows the road as we travelled south. Some sun and a rather grubby road, wet with melting snow. The road was not too crowded.
