Wound up in Wexford

The digger at work

The initial plan for what will probably be the last major work on the garden was removal of the laurel hedge and planting of a mixed, mainly native, hedge.  But once they'd removed the laurel hedge behind the garage, we realised that it had been taking up a lot of room, and there would be room for a passage down there to enable Husky to reach the grass around the pond.  It just needed some levelling/retaining.  So that's the next stage of work.

A grey day, but at least it wasn't raining, so work proceeded.  The soil dug out from here is being used to level out the front lawn - see extra - there was a marked dip between the grass and the kerb.
