Journies at home

I felt that end of half term lassitude at school.  I decided my two lessons would consist of showing films in English with French subtitles, but was thwarted by the filters the headmaster has put in place which makes it impossible to access Netflix.  We played wholesome games instead, like hangman and I allowed the boys to eat sweets.

Back in town I ran into a sad looking Tobias whose Jewelry shop has just been burgled.  I thought he needed cheering up so bought him a gallopin at Atmos and sat on the terrasse watching the drizzle and listening to his woes.

My spirits rose when I looked up the weather for the Atlantic coast.  A week of warmth.  A bird is singing outside my window as I write, the sanglier is roasting away in the oven.  It feels like spring is coming and it smells like christmas day.
