A little creative time

I stayed home this morning determined to do this weeks Wanderlust lesson before a new one is introduced tomorrow. It truly felt so good to play with paint and create an abstract color wheel in my art journal. (Wanderlust is an online course I'm doing through Everything Art UK.) In the extra photos I've put a couple more.

Creating this page was just what I needed. I've turned comments back on, but I may still end up being quiet as far as responding/ commenting.

Things are holding somewhat steady with my mom. Steve was at her house this morning, which gave my sister & her husband a chance to get out. They are with mom 24-7, which can take it's toll because of moms Alzheimer's. We made a salad for her lunch and Steve brought it over & served it to her. He took mom's dog Beda out for a walk and let the Physical Therapist in. The PT had mom walk down her long driveway and back with a cane. She also coached mom through various other strengthening exercises. 

I will go over tomorrow with Steve and maybe read some more to her, she likes that. My brother in law remembered the types of music mom likes and gave her his Bose headphones he set up with an iPod. Kathy said Mom was so happy. 

On monday, Kathy & I will visit another Memory Care community that may be a better fit for mom. It is sad because Mom has never wanted to leave her home. But the Neurologist believes she needs 24-7 memory care. My sister lives in Massachusetts and Steve and I are not equipped to fill that role. Mom will not be happy about this, but that is our path on this journey now. I'm hoping and praying the move when it happens, will not be too disruptive for her and for all of us. We will do our best.
