White line fever

White powder on an electric guitar, what sort of rock and roll shenanigans is this?

Fear not dear reader it is just some baking powder. The nut, which is the white bit the strings go over, has a bit much wear on the d string slot which makes the string buzz.

The proper fix is to remove the nut and shape a new one, that however is a bit tricky with the finish this guitar has. My guitar mender bloke could do it but I thought I’d try and fill the slot with baking powder and superglue then recut the slot. Worked perfectly!!!
