A day with the girls
This morning was very much geared around ensuring we were ready to leave the house at 1pm to go and meet Sue and Karen at the Slug and Lettuce. It was the first time Karen was going to meet Eva since she was born, as she lives so far away and doesn't come up to Birmingham much, so we were very excited. The 3, or should I say 4 of us, needed a much overdue catch up.
Sue and Karen couldn't get enough of Eva which was so wonderful. And Eva was her usual happy, smiley self. She's an absolute pleasure to take out, she really is.
While we had lunch, Eva just sucked on some apple flavoured baby rice cakes in her pushchair, and after we'd eaten, I got her out and she had a sneaky bit of my ice cream off my spoon, literally a tiny bit, but I think it was soothing on her gums.
We had a really lovely time.
When we got back, I bathed and fed Eva and she was absolutely spark out in her bed by 8pm, so I left her with her Daddy, and went up the road to Kirsty's for the evening.
Kirsty, Lou King, Lou Taylor, Tracy, Kerry and Jo were all there, and Kirsty had made some delicious chicken tikka and rice and salad for us, it was soooo nice. Will deffo be getting the recipe.
It felt quite bizarre to be out without having Eva with me, but I soon relaxed and the drinks flowed. It was really good to catch up with everyone, it had been a while.
I got back about Midnight and everyone was fast asleep, so I snook into bed, played Candy Crush for half an hour, then was out for the count within seconds.
