Penny collection

My grandfather was a coin collector, as was his daughter, my mother. I remember as a child looking carefully at each penny we received to check the date and minting mark to see if we needed it for our set. What a treat when we found one!
Today I sold one of our sets and was amazed to learn that 89 old pennies are worth over 2 thousand dollars. Thank you, Grandfather!
