A slightly less gloomy shade of grey this morning & I could see the Emley TV mast - not Venus though sadly.

A good wildlife day - on the way to see my mum, no camera - great spotted woodie & a jay by the roadside.

After shopping, forgot Marmite (doh), I went up to the tops and had a lovely 15 mins or so watching at least six crossbills eating the grit at the side of the road. Stunnning birds! I was definitely lucky because they only flew to the trees when cars came past before coming back to the road.
