Sound Advice

Met up with S after her class and headed off to a new Wednesday venue, The Mash Tun, only to find it fully booked for a quiz night. Never mind, plan B was Dukes, another new venue and they squeezed us onto a tiny table just big enough for our beer and scran. (I hate when places won’t give you a decent sized table when they’re obviously not going to fill up.) But on the plus side, they had Paulaner on draught plus plenty other decent options and Wednesday is 2-for-1 Wings Night; chicken for me, cauli for S, cheesy chips to share. Pretty good but we then abandoned the wee table and nipped along the road to The Lioness of Leith for a far more spaced out second beer (Guinness 00 for the driver) and some sound advice.
