Beautiful blue banded bee...

I was thrilled to find a few on this bottlebrush this morning. Blimey they are fast movers! Not the best pic but you get the idea. 

I've added a different bee as an extra, hoping its a native West Australian variety but not having much luck googling a species that matches this chubby, black bee

Weather here is thankfully still coolish but there's a Category 5 cyclone (Zelia) bearing down on the NW which is causing strong winds as far south as Yallingup. Port Hedland is receiving a battering by all accounts.
