A year ago today...

Remembering a dear friend's husband who was taken from us a year ago today. Gone, but definitely not forgotten...

Woke up to rain this morning. So baked two banana loafs (one for my wee sis and one for RJC to take back to Lancaster).

The rain finally stopped in time for lunch which meant we could sit out. Then we both set to a list of jobs around the garden. RJC cut the grass whilst I repotted two pumpkin plants (they looked well past it), planted out 3 dwarf beans (they looked well past it too), supplied cold drinks to the grass cutter, created an elaborate string affair thingy to protect the leeks from the marauding pigeons as the leeks had outgrown their fleece cover, took some butterfly photos, thinned the carrots, supplied more cold drinks to the grass cutter and weeded. It was hot... too hot to be toiling.

We stopped at 4 so RJC could shower, pack and set off. He should be home by now - it's 9pm.
