Kepax Bridge

This is the new footbridge over the River Severn at Worcester.
My daughter J had a day off work so we decided to go for a walk even though it was the greyest day.
We started by walking through Gheluvelt park, over the Kepax bridge up through St John’s & along the main road before dropping down to the river bank footpath to the Sebrina footbridge back over the Severn & along the footpath to the cafe for coffee & cake. We then went into the Hive where the library is now housed plus the Worcester Council Hub & Archives. After a look through some of the local history books we made our way back through Worcester Racecourse & along the riverside walk through to Northwick & then to Lesley Avenue passing the house where we lived when the children were at primary school.
We then had an unscheduled stop at the New Inn for a drink which turned into lunch. We made our way back to J’s where I picked up the car. I got back home at 5pm, we had only intended a short walk!
We had done 19,181 steps, we didn’t quite make the magic 20,000.
