Yup, the road is definitely closed

However there were some cars that drove right up to the fence before backing away to follow the diversion.
Had a good chat with the guys doing the job and we were highly impressed by the ‘Ditch Witch’ that bored a hole under the adjacent field and under the river before emerging 30 yards the other side of the bridge. It then reamered out the hole before pulling the pipe back to this side of the river. Still a lot of holes in the road, it will be sometime before normality returns.
