Royal Tapestry of Scotland

Away for a few days.
Train to Edinburgh where I met a friend and we then went by train to Galashiels to see the tapestry. Before going round we had some lunch then went round the temporary exhibition of some lovely Chinese fabrics.
The tapestry has about 180 embroidered panels depicting Scotland's history and really needs several visits to take them all in, but an overview and some studying, plus a number of pictures for later, was great.
The extra shows the scroll from the royal opening which was made by my d-in-law.
Back to Edinburgh on the train and an evening eating and chatting.
