Doing a puzzle with a cat
She likes to join in. Lovely morning at Fareshare- busy, good company. The paid staff were occupied with getting ready for a food safety and hygiene audit to take place in the afternoon. But the volunteers can manage fine doing most things - just the occasional question.
Spent quite a bit of the rest of the day catching up with seeing everybody’s blip journals. Doesn’t take much - like having son to stay - to get behind.
And I’m quite preoccupied with my blood sugar sensor. It seems rather self indulgent- but I only have it for two weeks so I need to learn as much as I can by experimenting. So far the biggest spikes (undesirable sudden steep rise and fall in blood sugar) have come from a small portion of white pasta, and a small portion of porridge with fruit. Who knew. At the moment I’m questioning everything.
Forgot to mention a wonderful film I saw on Saturday night with son. “In Between” about 3 educated middle class Palestinian women sharing a flat in Tel Aviv. Their lives, hopes and problems (mainly caused by men - fathers, colleagues, partners). As it was released 9 years ago it doesn’t reflect the current situation. Outstanding film. L enjoyed it too, despite the withering critique of the patriarchy. He was brought up by a feminist, so he can deal with it:-)
