Tunnicliffe

Started the day at the Museum with a lecture on C F Tunnicliffe, wildlife artist. I have always had an interest in this prolific artist and book illustrator. At home I got  my copy of his My Country Book out. It has a lovely note fastened inside. See Extra. What a good day out that must have been. Jacqui was doing a Tunnicliffe herself, on a boat trip from Exmouth looking at seabirds. A rare American migrant was seen - a long billed Dowitcher. Now written in her notebook in capitals with exclamation marks. She didn’t forget her football duties, and on the way home by train she photographed the station stop for St James’ Park, Exeter City’s ground. EXTRA.  Tonight Exeter City played Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup. It was too early for any crowds arriving then. Sadly they lost on penalties.
