Waddesdon Education
Waddesdon Manor always puts on some form of 'professional development' for us volunteers. Yesterday and today there has been a series of talks about different aspects of the house, its contents and its history. I attended talks this morning on Women of Waddesdon, Portraits within the House and Ethyrope House (on the estate). All were really interesting and the information we pass on to our visitors helping them to enjoy their visits to the property. The Rothschilds were and are an amazing family. Thanks to Ferdinand we have an incredible legacy of architecture, art, furniture and gardens to enjoy for not a lot.
I'm looking forward to the season ahead when the House opens to the public again in March.
If you are likely to visit do let me know and I'll make sure I'm there!
Camera club this evening. The third round of an interclub comp against two other clubs. We had a great evening with many stunning images but, unfortunately, did not do well enough (by ONE point) to get through to the finals.
And cake! We always have cake on special occasions.
