Our bank account

I belong to a writing group and we had a bank account. Our balance was small and the activity very light. The bank indicated they were changing arrangements and the account would now incur a monthly charge. That would mean by doing nothing (and nothing is planned) our account would be drained quite quickly. So we have closed the account and put the money in a tin. We shall each peer into it at every meeting to check the money is still there
