Metal
Common sense prevailed this morning although it was a hard decision. A cold damp day with rain imminently forecast, a strong east wind with choppy water and a very low tide all colluded to force me to call off my Tuesday trip to Porty. It was especially hard to decide when it was still early and the weather was cloaked in darkness.
Instead I sallied into town in the rain and dreichness to buy a birthday card and a newspaper to read with my free coffee at M&S….. and get some of those tiny little batteries for my hearing aids. I should be grateful to the NHS for permitting me to hear better but why on earth do they think bus pass holders with old arthritic fingers can juggle with very small batteries without them slipping from hands on to the floor and be lost forever. But that’s another rant for another day.
Without a seaside blip, I have had to resort to urban graffiti and waste metal. There is not one surface in the hood round the Dower House that isn’t adorned with mindless scribbling. When do the these antisocial people do their paint spraying? You never see them at work…. and talking of work, the Balconists have been absent for a whole week, leaving a clutter of ‘stuff’ randomly scattered on the grass and a dirty yellow bucket under the leaking down pipe on my patio. I fear we are being taken as fools. If I have to write another letter to the management it will be hard to keep it civil .
PS my original blip has been removed possibly by the content of the graffiti
