Linger a little longer..

After a sleepless night (so hot in the hotel room) we had a lovely full English breakfast and decided to head into town to show our friends The Backs. (Backs of the colleges in Cambridge from the river.)
We couldn't get near our usual parking spaces because of coaches! Hundreds of them all disgorging hundreds of tourists onto the crowded pavements! We decided to forget it and head for the quiet riverside village of Godmanchester.
We arrived just as the bar was opening in The Bridge Hotel... A hair of the dog would liven us up!
We had a brief walk and I spotted these wonderful old signs on a corner shop. There was a third, pointing the way to London but I didn't photograph it. I wasn't really thinking blip material at the time.
The wine was enjoyed in the terrace garden to the sound of fountains.. Very pleasant end to a lovely trip. :-)
