Wild Asparagus

The ground is wet enough, any warm days now will be bringing out the asparagus spears (and , unfortunately, the people who climb over walls and fences to get them!). The closest two to the camera are males, so I’ll have to check that the thorns haven’t hardened yet( the ‘professional’ pickers leave the male spears but they’re perfectly edible so long as you break off any harder thorns.
