A Rum Do

My Christmas present to the s-i-l… yes, three hours of my company. Followed by another two back at his watching Scotland struggle against the all-conquering Irish rugby team. By then we were well sozzed of course, so the time sped past.
Anyway, back to the present, I mean the past, if you get my drift. And drift we did. A Rum tasting/distilling thing… you get to craft a 50cl bottle with your own choice of botanicals. Whilst listening to Neil, the place’s tutor, whose sadness shone through his fake bonhomie. Someone get him another job, please. 
Anyway, it was actually all great fun. And if anyone is reading this who is maybe looking for a future present, Brugal 1888 Double Aged Rum from the Dominican Republic comes highly recommended.
